Product Overview
Winemaker Byron Mignanelli founded his small Mignanelli label in 2011 to make coastal California Pinot Noir from individual vineyards. Reviews of past vintages describe native-yeast fermentations, a portion of whole clusters, and minimal additions.
This Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir comes from Highlands Ranch Vineyard, an 18-acre site in Monterey County. It was planted in 2001 to Pinot Noir clones including 115, 667, 777 and Pommard, on gravelly sandy loam. Mignanelli has made a Highlands Ranch Pinot since at least the 2013 vintage.
