Primary Whites:
Terlano 2017 Pinot Grigio - The 2017 Terlano Tradition Pinot Grigio is exceptionally flavorful for this variety. It offers stimulating fruit character reminiscent of grapefruit, lychee, pear, and white melon and floral aromatic character of a freshly mown meadow. On the palate, component flavors are finely balanced and exhibit black tea to exotic, fruity nuances of melon and ripe grapefruit. This is a superbly full bodied and yet mellow at the same time. Ideal with a wide variety of foods including: smoked bacon, cured meats like Bündnerfleisch or venison salami, and their typical Italian counterparts like Parma ham, dried tomatoes, and olive paté; herb risotto, nettle gnocchi or beetroot dumplings; lightly truffled dishes; tender veal and fine grilled fish.
Chateau Tour des Gendres 2016 Cuvee des Conti - The Cuvée des Conti is the perfect expression of Semillon, picked very ripe & slightly dried. It offers an incredible aromatic complexity and a flawless balance of roundness & freshness in the mouth. Boasting a shiny pale gold colour, it gives off aromas of acacia & orange flowers and white peach.
Primary Reds:
Fritz 2015 Estate Zinfandel - Aromas of black currant, red cherry, and raspberry are wrapped in spicy oak. Bright acidity and balanced tannins lead to flavors of red cherry, black cherry, black currant, raspberry, and cocoa with lingering oak sweetness.
San Leonino 2017 Governo All'Uso Toscano - ‘Governare’ means adding slightly raisined grapes (once Trebbiano, now Sangiovese) to the first new wine of the just completed harvest. This addition triggers off a second slow fermentation in 90 hl barrels, which continues until the following spring. We have decided to bring back the Governo method at San Leonino, in order to recover an ancient technique and adding an innovative touch to the original method for a fresh, fruity, soft but at the same time austere and elegant Sangiovese.
Premium Wines:
Tate 2015 Spring Street Cabernet Sauvignon - 90 Points - Wine Advocate: The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Street is medium to deep garnet-purple with lovely black cherry and blackberry notes and an undercurrent of red currant and Provence herbs, with touches of forest floor and cedar chest. Medium-bodied, firm and elegantly played with fine, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, it finishes long and earthy.
Catena Alta 2015 Historic Rows Cabernet Sauvignon - Catena Alta is an assemblage of historic rows within the Catena family Estate vineyards. The blend of these historic rows, like the marriage of sounds that create a symphony, yields a highly aromatic and elegant wine that speaks for the earth and the vines that have been tended by the Catenas for four generations. The Catena Alta wines can usually be drunk starting at three years after harvest and into the following one to two decades.
