"The Montille estate is known for producing wines of great aromatic purity, always favoring balance and elegance rather than power or extraction. The wines are a classic expression of Burgundy, produced in the most natural way possible and with an impressive aging capacity because we believe that only time reveals great wines. The current style of the domain remains faithful to the naturalness and classicism recognized in the wines of Hubert, some vintages of which required a lot of patience, but Etienne endeavors to bring in the reds more openness in the bouquet, and more silky and creaminess in the textures without compromising the aging capacity of the wines. The estate is known with a few others in Burgundy (Arlot, DRC, Dujac, Leroy, etc.."

"The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Thorey 1er Cru, which has 50% whole bunch, has a fleshy ripe and generous bouquet with macerated small red cherries and raspberry coulis. The palate is medium-bodied with soft and fleshy tannins, quite Vosne-like in style with a rounded finish. It just needs a little more tension. Closure: Diam" -NM, Oct/2021
