Winery's Notes
"Prolonged winters in the Santa Cruz Mountains generally have a slowing effect on the growing season. At the David Bruce Estate Vineyard, this late growing season is protected from temperature fluctuations as the estate sits above the fog line at 2,200 feet elevation, being constantly cooled by the Pacific ocean breezes. This moderate temperature, along with the well-draining sandy loam and decomposed rock type soils, results in an ideal terroir and microclimate to grow world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.
Our 2022 Santa Cruz Pinot Noir shows its Santa Cruz Mountains heritage with an abundance of velvety tannins, mineral and spicy tones, and vibrant acidity.
Nose: Ripe sour cherries, red raspberries, dark plums, dried cranberries, potpourri, pine spice and nutmeg, forest floor, dried leaves, crushed stones and mineral, black peppercorns, hint of resin and cedar tones.

"Cherry compote, tomato leaf, eucalyptus oil and crumpled sage aromas make for a dynamic nose on this bottling. The palate pairs sage and green peppercorn flavors with a rich cranberry and grapefruit peel base that transcends the herbal notes." -MK, 7/1/26
