Wattie Boone & Sons barrel select 9 year has a nose that has a rich and buttery aroma that is full of corn, some caramel syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and some dried citrus peel. With the first sip, you get some of the heat from the 120 proof and letting it open or adding an ice cube cuts this without losing the complexity of flavors. The finish is medium and is balanced well with the spice, dried fruits, and the oak.
