Frank August’s 6 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon opens with baking spices and notes of mild oak, before picking up a mix of sweet aromatics of vanilla and caramel. The palate has the baking spices that are more pronounced, with cinnamon coming forward initially, before rye spices begin to gradually introduce themselves, warmly coating your mouth. With the hign ABV-123.0 – 125.0-there’s an intensity that is exceptionally balanced by some of the vanilla and caramel notes you initially pick up on the nose.
