Importer's Notes
"Perched in the historic heart of Chianti Classico—within lands first defined by Cosimo de’ Medici in 1716—Torre Prumiano is the crown jewel of Tenute Fusi, a visionary estate rooted in centuries of Tuscan heritage. Once belonging to the noble Corsini family, the estate carries forward traditions shaped by medieval legends and refined by Barone Bettino Ricasoli, the architect of the Chianti discipline.
Today, the Fusi family combines this legacy with fresh ambition. The estate spans over 150 hectares, including 33 hectares of certified organic vineyards undergoing conversion, perched on rolling eastern-facing slopes near Barberino Tavarnelle. The winery champions natural biodiversity, enriching soil vitality through cover crops like lupin and mustard and practicing pest control with pheromones—technology rooted in nature.
Tasting Notes: Olfactory range marked by notes of ripe black cherry and plum in alcohol. Followed by floral sensations of iris and balsamic. Lightly toasted and spicy, reminiscent of cocoa and black pepper. In the mouth it has good volume with evident tannins and acidity, balanced by a pleasant softness. Significant persistence marked by fruity and toasted cocoa notes."
