Product Overview
Winery's Notes
"Since 1984, Spottswoode has produced exceptional, classically styled Sauvignon Blanc, earning acclaim as one of the “Super Sauvignons,” a term coined by The Wine Bible’s Karen MacNeil for the world’s finest examples of this noble grape.
Sourced from Spottswoode Estate and other renowned family-owned vineyards, the wine is fermented in a mix of French oak, small stainless steel barrels, clay amphora, and ceramic and concrete cuves. Fresh and cellar worthy, it’s well integrated and complex with extraordinary aromas and effortless poise. Critics have praised it as one of the world’s best, with some calling it the “aristocracy of domestic Sauvignon Blanc.”"

"Showcasing impressive fruit quality, deft winemaking, and an exciting vintage, this Sauvignon Blanc from Spottswoode shows off what is so consistently compelling about this wine. "Spottswoode's 2024 Sauvignon Blanc draws fruit from both Sonoma (57%) and Napa (43%), incorporating 6% Sémillon as well. Fermented and matured in a mix of new and used French oak, stainless steel and "other" vessels (amphora, ceramic, concrete), it's a lively wine, with white grapefruit easily combining and underpinning riper notes of fig and guava. Medium- to full-bodied, it's silky, elegant and long on the finish." -JC, 10/2/25
92 Points - Wine Spectator
"White grapefruit, pomelo and fresh ginger notes are light and fresh on first impression, but the flavors and intensity grow, with lemongrass, vetiver and coriander details, plus a crystalline lemon salt element. Shows elegance on the long finish. Drink now. 4,801 cases made." -MW, 12/31/25

"The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is a pretty, open-knit wine that captures the generosity of the year. Pear, apricot, yellow flowers and sage are some of the notes that take shape in the glass. Floral overtones lift the finish. This is an open-knit, accessible vintage for the Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc." -AG, Nov/2025
