"The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Rockpile Ridge Vineyard is the most compelling of the Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines in this large tasting, showing off its depth and layered personality to great effect. "This Cabernet has a bit of Malbec and Petit Verdot in the mix. It displays an inky, garnet hue in the glass, with kirsch, boysenberry and graphite emerging with every swirl. The palate is punchy, but not overheavy, giving off earthy flavors of plum skin, spicy berry compote, capsicum and crème de cassis. A few years in the cellar will soften this nicely.
