Product Overview
Winery Notes:
"The 2019 vintage has a beautiful and complex nose - layers of black cherry, boysenberry, black currant, and fresh cut flowers come through first, followed by cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and a touch of cocoa. The palate, too, has great depth and complexity - flavors of black cherries, muddled berries, dried herbs, and dark chocolate. The palate has a creamy texture and silky tannin complimented by a fresh, vibrant acidity that lends this wine great length."

"PlumpJack's 2019 Merlot offers terrific tension and grip. In 2019, the Merlot includes fruit from a site in Carneros, and that seams to add an extra dimension of energy that is quite appealing. Dried herbs, leather, tobacco and crushed flowers lend striking aromatic nuance to this savory, beautifully delineated wine. The 2019 is super distinctive, not to mention a real pleasure to taste." -AG, Oct/2021

"The 2019 Merlot is a blend of 97% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with herbal wafts over a core of stewed plums and boysenberries, with hints of charcoal, licorice and potpourri. The medium to full-bodied palate is plush and juicy with bags of black fruit flavors and an aniseed kick on the finish." -LPB, 10/29/21
