94 Points - Vinous
"The 2023 Syrah is one of the most complete wines in this range. Dark, brooding and quite virile, the Syrah packs a pretty serious punch. Black cherry, plum, leather, spice, menthol and dried herbs are beautifully amplified. This strapping Syrah needs time to soften. Its balance is already compelling, as evidenced by 100% stems that are barely noticeable. What a gorgeous wine this is." -AG
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"Wet stone, dusty thyme and pepper atoms meet with wild raspberry and elderberry on the nose of this whole-cluster bottling. There's a prominently stony minerality to the palate, where dark, rounded red fruit flavors meet with light pepper spices." -MW, 7/1/2025
93 Points - Wine Advocate
"Another high point in the range is the 2023 Syrah, which was fermented with 100% whole clusters and 5% Viognier. A classic bouquet of olive tapenade, dried flowers, cracked pepper and camphor introduces a beautifully textured palate that fuses concentration, elasticity and levity with ease. The finish is long, layered and refined, quickly expanding and dynamically evolving in the glass. While certainly approachable now, this could give the superb Vaccarèse bottling a run for its money with time in the cellar." -ML, 12/4/2025
