"Brilliant ruby color with deep purple hues. The nose is rich and complex with notes of red and black fruit, strawberry, lavender, licorice, and leather. On the palate, it is very rich, structured, and savory, with good, flavorful tannins and excellent persistence."

"The 2021 Aglianico del Vulture Serra del Prete slowly opens with an intense bouquet of crushed black cherries, autumnal spice, cedar shavings and blood orange zest. It's soft-textured and round, but builds tension through citrus-inflected red and black fruits. Crisp mineral tones add a crunchy sensation toward the close. This finishes long and staining with a pleasantly chewy sensation, edgy tannins and a contrasting bump of residual acidity." -EG, May/2026
