Winery's Notes
"The result of an artistic collaboration between Dom Pérignon and Damien Hirst, this 2026 Limited Edition draws on the artist’s Kaleidoscope series and reinterprets the Maison’s historic shield as a contemporary emblem.
Rendered in a deep blue, symbolic of infinity and spirituality, it reflects the solar amplitude of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2018, while expressing the dynamic tension between tradition and transformation.
For Dom Pérignon and Damien Hirst, assemblage lies at the heart of creation. The 2026 limited edition brings this shared vision to life, rooted in a common language of tension and balance—between heritage and reinvention, structure and freedom, mastery and experimentation. For Dom Pérignon, each vintage is shaped through the dialogue of a single year’s grapes, while for Damien Hirst, the kaleidoscope motif emerges through the precise composition of selected and calibrated elements. In both champagne and art, beauty is born from complexity, as contrasting fragments are brought together to form a singular, harmonious whole.
Dom Pérignon Vintage 2018 moves like summer light – radiant, majestic and serene. It reveals itself through a rich and deep transparency, with breadth, depth, matter and density, with the sense that everything is in its rightful place. There is harmony in its unfolding, a glorious generosity carried with poise and a feeling of plenitude.
Broader, deeper, longer – it leaves the impression of a perfect summer’s afternoon, with an openness that continues to expand over time."
98 Points - Vinous
"The 2018 Dom Pérignon is explosive, bright and so vibrant in the glass. Medium in body, with layers of understated depth, the 2018 dazzles from start to finish. Lemon peel, chalk, mint and white pepper all open with a bit of coaxing. Readers will find a Dom Pérignon of unreal precision and class." -AG, May/2026
96 Points - Wine Spectator
"There’s a sense of finesse to this understated Champagne, which leads with minerally smoke and chalk accents on the nose before flavors of black cherry, lemon pâte de fruit, brioche, grilled nuts and pickled ginger come to the fore. Structured yet graceful, this expands beautifully on the raw silk–textured mousse, with the profile unfurling through the long, creamy finish. Drink now through 2045." -AN, 12/15/25
94 Points - Wine Advocate
"The 2018 Dom Pérignon, born of a dry, solar year and an August harvest, is a lighter-footed, less concentrated rendition when considered alongside the 2017. It opens with a moderately complex bouquet of clementine, fresh apricot and cardamom, mingling with notes of nectarine, iris and freshly baked bread, offering rather little in the way of reductive character. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with a sweet, fleshy core of fruit and a pillowy mousse. Its acids are ripe—and softer than those of the 2017, yet racy—carrying the wine toward a long, delicately phenolic finish. Even if it starts its life somewhat less expressive, as it evolves on its fruit and the extract derived from its ripe skins, it may well, in time, render my initial assessment on the conservative side. A blend of 54% Chardonnay and 46% Pinot Noir, it was disgorged in March 2024 and finished with a dosage of about seven grams per liter." -KK, 12/11/25
