Winery's Notes
"Introducing the 2023 Rocks & Fog – a bold new vintage that continues the story of Sonoma County’s most evocative terroir. This distinctive blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and and Petite Sirah pays homage to the vineyard’s unique contrast: ancient stones beneath the surface and the signature morning fog that drapes the land.
The 2023 vintage is beautifully expressive, weaving together dark fruit, black pepper, and a whisper of minerality. Aromatics leap from the glass—think ripe raspberry and blackberry layered with hints of cherry, plum, tobacco leaf, leather, and earthy undertones.
On the palate, it’s concentrated and vibrant, with moderate tannins and a lively acidity that give it both structure and elegance. The finish is persistent and reflective, revealing the depth and soul of this blend. Whether enjoyed now or allowed to evolve in the cellar, this wine is a pure, site-driven expression of Sonoma’s rugged beauty and refinement."

94 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
"A Syrah-based blend, the 2023 Rocks & Fog pours a youthful red/purple hue and offers notes of peppery reduction, Amarena cherry, red and black fruits, and bright acidity. Medium to full-bodied, it has snappy lift and excellent energy throughout. Drink over the coming 5-7 years."

"The 2023 Rocks & Fog is the best of Limerick Lane's Rhône blends. Dark red/purplish fruit, new leather, licorice, incense and pomegranate are front and center. This is very nicely done." -AG, Jan/2026
