Product Overview

Winemaker's Notes
"Few Semillons show as much richness and complexity as those produced in the distinctive soils of Eastern Washington State. Our cool nights during the growing season and harvest period help to ensure crisp natural acidity and expressive aromatics, making this a wonderful food pairing wine.

Refreshing and richly textured, this expressive Semillon shows vibrant melon, Granny Smith apple, fresh fig, and fragrant acacia and chamomile. On the palate, it is supple and energetic, replete with Bosc pear and stone fruit flavors, persisting to a long, balanced finish."

Varietal Composition: 82% Sémillon, 18% Sauvignon Blanc
Appellation: Columbia Valley AVA
Aging: Fermented and aged in French oak barrels, 15% new
Production: 4,000 cases
Winemaker: David Rosenthal

91 Points - James Suckling
"Waxy and medium- to full-bodied, this mineral white has aromas and flavors of raw almonds, honey, apricots and lemon rind on the nose. Fresh, bright finish. Drink now." -AS, Mar/2025

90 Points - Vinous
"The 2023 Sémillon is delicate in the glass, opening with nuanced florals and hints of raw almond, wet stone and young peach. It sweeps across the palate with juicy orchard fruits elevated by vibrant acidity, finishing with staining length and a youthfully chewy sensation. Salty mineral tones and a sweet herbal resonance linger on the close." -EG, Oct/2024

90 Points, "Best Buy" - Wine Enthusiast
"As always, this Semillon is a screaming good deal. Its complicated aromatic set includes honeydew melon and sweet pea flowers melding with cut grass and chalkboard dust. The wine’s texture is lean and crisp, with bouncy acidity escorting flavors of white grapefruit sprinkled in sea salt." -MA, 12/1/24

88 Points - Wine Spectator
"Crisp yet oily in texture, with handsome accents of melon, fig and beeswax that finish on a rich note. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now. 4,000 cases made." -TF, 12/31/24
