"The 2023 Rotgipfler Gumpoldskirchen used to be just called Rotgipfler. It was picked in Satzing, Spiegel and Pfarrweingarten on limestone-based soils. This was made in 75% stainless steel for the early harvested fruit, with the rest of the later harvested fruit in a large acacia barrel. The nose is a beautiful synthesis of juicy apple and tender, fragrant hay aromas with overtones of rose petal. The palate is beautifully textured, slightly waxy and reminiscent of fresh, tart red apple skin."AK, Nov/2023
