"Born at our Venice Propagator, the small-batch lab where our brewers get to break the rules, this limited-edition Double IPA is big, bold, and brimming with resinous pine and diesel-like hop intensity. Around for a limited time, Diesel Thunder is a rare taste of our small-batch innovation at full throttle.
Diesl Thunder is the result of challenging ourselves to go back to first principles and build a new Double IPA from the ground up: a new Pilsner malt strain, a new yeast strain, and an exciting hop blend showcasing our favorite dank, diesl-forwar varieties from the USA and New Zealand.
At 8.0% ABV, Diesel Thunder is fueled by a three-hop lineup doing very different jobs. Nelson hops from New Zealand bring that signature Sauvignon Blanc, lychee, and yes, diesel-like aroma the beer is named for. Pacific Northwest Citra adds bright grapefruit and floral zest, while Columbus Cryo hops, processed cryogenically to concentrate their oils, pile on serious dank intensity. All of it gets pushed through our dry hop cannon for maximum aromatic punch, fermented clean on Chico ale yeast so the hops stay firmly in the driver’s seat.
The result is a Double IPA with real horsepower: resinous, punchy, and unapologetically intense, built for drinkers who like their hop character turned all the way up."
