"Showing the same transparency and purity, the 2010 Champoux Vineyard is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and spent 15 months in 100% new French oak. Light ruby in color, it’s decidedly perfumed and fragrant, with exotic spice, incense and flower garden qualities balanced out by a core of red fruit. On the fuller side of medium-bodied, it is a lively, balanced and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon that has solid mid-palate depth and moderate tannin. Enjoy it over the coming decade. Drink now-2023.
This estate is now run solely by Nina Buty Foster, with Chris Dowsett functioning as the winemaker. The wines lean heavily towards the elegant, borderline lean, end of the spectrum so those looking for overflowing richness need to look elsewhere.
