Product Overview

The non-vintage Bollinger Special Cuvee Brut, which is always majority Pinot Noir, and always at least 85% from Grand and Premier Crus. It displays a beautiful aromatic complexity redolent of roasted apples, apple compote, and peaches. On the palate, a subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity, with velvety bubbles and flavors of pear, brioche, and spices and fresh walnut.

Varietal Composition: 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Meunier
Reserve wine: Over 85% Grands and Premiers crus
Appellation: Champagne AOC
Aging: "Cellar aged for more than twice the time required by the appellation" (which is 15 months for NV cuvées)
Dosage: 7 to 8 g/L

93 Points - Wine Spectator
"Fine and seamless, with mouthwatering acidity well-meshed with a rich range of crème de cassis, poached apricot, gingerbread and almond extract flavors, plus accents of fleur de sel, Meyer lemon peel and star anise. Long and lively on the creamy finish. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Drink now through 2028. 14,257 cases imported." -AN, 12/15/23

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"Dominated, as always, by Pinot Noir and with wood fermentation and aging, this Champagne has a great poise between freshness and richness. It is intense and ripe, with apple and minerality coming together. The bottling is ready to drink." -RV, 12/1/20

92 Points - Wine Advocate
"Like its rosé counterpart, the latest release of Bollinger's NV Brut Special Cuvée is showing especially well, bursting from the glass with aromas of honeyed apples, crisp stone fruit, buttery pastry, ripe lemons and fresh walnuts. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, with a deep core of beautifully ripe fruit, racy acids and a pillowy mousse, it's a charming, characterful wine that proves that Special Cuvée is firmly back where it belongs." -WK, 8/31/22

89 Points - Vinous
"We commence with the fail-safe choice of sparkler, the NV Bollinger Special Cuvée. The nose is well defined with forward, bready and slightly nutty. The palate has an irresistible fatness that those who like razor-sharp champagne might turn their nose up at, yet I enjoy its almost sensual texture and the lack of pretension." -NM, Jun/2022
