93 Points - Vinous
"The 2003 Bual from Blandy’s (bottled in 2016) has a relatively light color for a Bual. The nose is fragrant and perfumed with scents of quince, wood varnish and tangerine, well defined and gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is clean and fresh, quite nutty and spicy on the entry with walnut, marjoram, quince and tangy Seville orange marmalade. This is an elegant Bual that feels long and tender in the mouth. It comes highly recommended." -NM, Mar/2018
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"This is a young wine in Madeira terms. That means it is full of fruit, with bitter orange and ginger to balance the acidity. The wine is sweet, always cut with that acidity and with a burnt character in the background. It is ready to drink, although some bottle age will still make it even better. Drink now and for decades." -RV, 6/1/17
91 Points - Wine Spectator
"Open-knit in feel, with friendly date, caramel, bergamot and hazelnut cream notes mixed together and backed by a light hint of green tea that adds some cut on the rounded finish. Drink now. 320 cases made, 130 cases imported." -JM 6/15/17
