The Arran Amarone Cask Finish, from the Isle of Arran, is not to be confused with an Islay Scotch! You will not get the peat and this is an exceptional dram all the way around. It's first matured in traditional oaks casks for approximately 8 years, it is then finished in Amarone wine casks. On the nose ripe pear, cranberry, marzipan, and espresso. It opens up to dark berry compote, toffee, and more pears. Delivers a long, fruity, and dry oak finish.
