Winery's Notes
"Our Late Harvest (Dessert) wine is all Chardonnay with intense tropical fruit notes of mango, pineapple and papaya, with secondary notes of citrus and flowers. The wine’s sweetness masks its considerable acidity, which works to keep the wine balanced with a clean finish that is neither too heavy or cloying. This Chardonnay was affected by 20% Botrytis, the fungus famously found in the sweet wines of Sauternes in the French Bordeaux region. 26 months aging in 25% new French oak."

"There's potential to this as a regional dessert wine. Aromas of honeysuckle, ripe Asian pear and Gala apple lead into a palate of honey glaze, lemongrass and pear syrup. It's a fresh after-dinner sipper." -MK, 3/1/2018
