Product Overview
The 2017 Vineyard 29 "29 Estate" Cabernet Sauvignon only contains earlier ripening blocks from the winery's more southern estate vineyard in St. Helena due to the wildfires, so the resulting wine is a bit more tightly wound than previous vintages, and will only improve with time and age. But true to this tremendous vineyard, this wine is concentrated and polished with rich velvety texture and notes of black cassis, violet, classic dark chocolate, with further hints of spearmint and sweet cocoa. Its classic firm tannin profile provides structure and endless aging potential.

93 Points - Vinous
"The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard 29 is a powerful, brooding wine that is going to need at least a few years in bottle to be at its best, as the tannins are quite forbidding today. Hints of smoke, leather, licorice, menthol, black cherry and plum add to an impression of gravitas." -AG, Jan/2020
91+ Points - Wine Advocate
"Containing a splash of Petit Verdot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate is deep garnet-purple colored with black currant pastilles, preserved plums, baked raspberries, underbrush and sautéed herbs with menthol and chocolate box. The palate is full-bodied, firm and muscular with a fair bit of chew and a clipped finish." -LPB, 10/31/19
