Product Overview
The 2007 Taylor Fladgate Vintage Porto has an opaque, purple black color with a narrow violet rim. Characteristically stylish and racy, the nose of dense black currant and woodland fruit is overlaid with discreet herbal nuances and scents of violet and rose petals. As usual the classic Taylor elegance and understatement conceal the wine's energy and vigor. On the palate, it displays the lean, sinewy, and tightly knit tannins which are so much a feature of the Taylor style and the vibrant and clearly delineated fruit flavors which are the hallmark of the 2007 vintage.

"This is a giant of a wine lurking behind fresh flowers and ripe fruit. Starts off in a friendly way, then takes hold of the palate, with intense blueberry and blackberry fruit and chewy yet fine tannins. Mouthpuckering, but impressively complex and long. Really kicks in on the finish. The best Taylor since 1994. Best after 2020." -JS, 5/31/10
95 Points, "Cellar Selection" - Wine Enthusiast
"Enticing violet and black currant aromas are followed by ripe plum and spice flavors. Maybe this isn't the most powerful Taylor Fladgate vintage ever, but it is balanced, opulent, beautifully made, the tannins fine, layered, with exquisite final acidity." -RV, 12/31/09

It displays a superb aromatic array of pencil lead, Asian spices, incense, blackberry, and floral notes.
