"Our 2023 Stormwatch brings together the five noble Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, crafted into a classic red blend. The fruit is sourced from our prized estate vineyards in Paso Robles, including Stefano Vineyard in the El Pomar AVA and both Creston Highlands and Riboli Creston Vineyards in the Creston AVA.
Our 2023 Stormwatch was harvested in small lots and vinified separately before the components were aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak barrels. The blend is anchored by 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot, and a touch of Cabernet Franc, showcasing the essence of a Paso Robles Bordeaux-style red. In the glass, its deep ruby hue hints at the aromas of blackberry, black currant, and dark plum. The palate mirrors these dark fruit flavors, layered with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, and a subtle touch of thyme. Earth, oak, and spice tones add further depth, leading to a persistent finish framed by silky, refined tannins."
