Winery's Notes
"La Masía means The Farmhouse in Catalonia, my home region, where my family has grown grapes since the 17th century. Our winery is designed to resemble a classic Catalan farmhouse to reflect our philosophy, which has always been to produce a wine as an extension of farming the vineyard.
Named after the late patriarch of the Torres family, this sustainable vineyard is located in the Green Valley — the coolest, foggiest region of the Russian River, only ten miles from the Pacific. Planted in the European-style high density of over 2,000 vines/acre, the yields are low and labor intensive; but the vines live longer and the grapes acquire better balance and greater concentration, as well as more elegance and finesse.
Beautiful cherry color and luscious nose reminiscent of raspberries and orange peel, sassafras and violets. The palate shows notes of lavender and faded roses, with a floral quality and soft tannins that make the wine so appealing and easy to drink. It will continue to develop for another 10-15 years, maybe more. Serve at cellar temperature, between 58-60° F."

95 Points, "Editors' Choice" - Wine Enthusiast
"This mellow and soothing but structured wine is the best La Masía since 2008. It is well-packed with red and black cherries, blueberries and cinnamon flavors on a medium to full body and backed by moderate tannins. Enticing woodsy and black tea nuances unroll on the palate, along with subtle oak spices that linger on the finish." -JG, 10/1/23

"A tender, perfumy style, with a sandalwood frame around light singed vanilla, mulled cherry and strawberry fruit notes. Reveals a dusting of warm earth on the finish. Drink now through 2025. 1,226 cases made." -JM, 6/26/23
