"The 2017 Tempranillo comes from the Paderewski vineyard and was aged 19 months in 67% new French oak barrels and puncheons. It has an opaque ruby-purple color and a nose of sour cherries and Italian plums with underlying nuances of tar, coffee, leather and soy sauce. The palate is super spicy, bright and fresh, with a firm structuring frame and long, layered finish. It's an elegant New World expression of the grape." -EB, 10/30/20

"Deep, brilliant violet. Expansive, smoke-accented aromas of cassis, cherry, mocha and licorice; a suave floral nuance builds in the glass. Appealingly sweet and expressive on the palate, offering deeply concentrated black/blue fruit, vanilla and candied lavender flavors and a touch of star anise. Shows excellent detail and powerful thrust on a long, sappy finish framed by harmonious, slowly building tannins. 67% new French oak." -JR, Sep/2020
