Winery's Notes
"The Côte de Nuits appellation is a village appellation in Burgundy. It covers several villages: Corgoloin, Fixin, Brochon, Premeaux, Prissey, and Comblanchien. It is in Comblanchien that the Côte de Nuits Villages "Les Faulques" from Domaine Jean-Marc Millot is located. This 1.78-hectare plot sits on the hills above Comblanchien, just in front of the famous quarries. "Les Faulques" refers to the beech trees that once stood where the vines are today.
The Côte de Nuits "Les Faulques" expresses the full complexity of its limestone soil. The dominant minerality results in wines of great freshness. The finish is fruity and crisp. It is an energetic wine with excellent aging potential. Reflecting the terroir, its color is ruby red."
