Product Overview
The 2020 Dashe Les Enfants Terribles Concrete Cuvée Chenin Blanc, part of the winery's "mischief children" line, is made with 100% Chenin Blanc grapes from the Clarksburg appellation just to the south-west of Sacramento. In the Sacramento River delta, cool breezes from the San Francisco Bay balance the hot afternoons with cool evenings. The grapes are pressed to and fermented in concrete egg-shaped fermenters with the natural yeast found on the grape skins, aged a few months on the lees, then bottled as soon as possible to preserve freshness. This dry, unoaked Chenin begins with fruit-forward aromas of apricot and pear with a touch of spice. In the glass, it is rich, creamy, and viscous, presenting core and stone fruit flavors of pear, apple, apricot, peach, and grapefruit with crisp acidity for a long, balanced finish. Drink now through 2026.

"Light rose-petal aromas and good, juicy apple and peach flavors make this medium-bodied wine easy to drink and appreciate. Baked apples come out with more sipping and there is just enough crisp acidity to keep it slightly tangy and well balanced. It was fermented in a concrete egg." -JG, 10/1/22
