Product Overview
Winery Notes:
"The wine's nose is very fresh and intense with notes of wild black fruits and black cherries balanced with seductive hints of licorice. Subtle notes of wood make the aro-ma more complex. In the mouth, the wine is fabulously concentrated, hot, showing firm tannins and a smooth texture as well as a very persistent finish that strongly displays the intensity of the wines of the Douro Superior. This wine pairs with meats, cheeses and, in general, Mediterranean cuisine."

89+ Points - Wine Advocate
"The 2020 Reserva is half Touriga Nacional, with 25% Touriga Franca and 20% Tinta Roriz, plus a dollop of Tinta Francisca, the winery's usual blend. It was aged for 18 months in a 70/30 mixture of French and American barrels of varying sizes (60% new overall) and comes in at 14.3% alcohol. This shows a bit too much oak just now, but that has a chance to get better. The rest is very nice, elegant, showing mid-palate finesse and a real backbone for support. The tannins are always ripe, so you can dive in now, but this will be better next year. It does have some upside potential in the cellar." -MS, 7/29/22

"Eighteen months in wood was probably too much for this wine. Its fruit has been smothered by all the spice, dark coffee and tannins. Hopefully, time will heal, so try from 2025." -RV, 3/1/23
