Product Overview
Winery's Notes:
"Laurea, a Napa Valley red wine, is produced in the style of a Bordeaux blend, made from a strict selection of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot sourced from some of the same vineyards used in our Accendo Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. Carefully chosen lots are blended by our winemaker Nigel Kinsman to create a wine of balance, purity and complexity.
The nose of the 2019 Laurea is pristine, pure and energetic, open and inviting. Notes of cassis and blackberry predominate the intense aromatics, creating an alluringly fragrant wine that demands to be tasted immediately. On the palate, the wine offers an abundance of flavors of brambly black fruits that are rich, round and juicy, all supported by notes of ash and tar, with super fine tannins that lend gravitas to this overtly generous wine."
Varietal Composition: 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc
Appellation: Napa Valley AVA
Aging: New and used French oak barrels
93 Points - Wine Advocate
"The 2019 Laurea is a blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc. The nose is wonderfully perfumed, offering scents of red roses, Ceylon tea and licorice over a core of warm cassis, blueberry compote and kirsch with a touch of tilled soil. Full-bodied, ripe and juicy in the mouth, it has a velvety texture and a spicy kick to the finish. 795 cases were made." -LPB, 11/30/21

"The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Laurea is bright and effusive, with striking aromatic lift and tons of sheer allure. This mid-weight, classy Cabernet Sauvignon will drink well pretty much upon release. Even today it is an absolute charmer. Vibrant floral and spice notes perk up the finish." -AG, Oct/2021
