Product Overview
The Ramos Pinto Quinta de Ervamoira 10 Year Tawny Porto is orange-red in color with a touch of green. It has a well-rounded, generous aroma and the wine's fruit aromas include orange, apricot and plum. Vanilla and old Port wine casks make up its woody aromas. This is a fruity tawny variety. In the mouth, one can still taste the fresh fruit surrounded by the aging in wood. There is good structure and perfect balance between fruit and alcohol. The attack on the palate is smooth and full-bodied. Following the initial oily feel, a fresh, soft fruitiness appears that finishes with a slightly acidic, woody note.

"Pretty, with sandalwood, warm raisin and toffee hints weaving around a core of gently mulled cherry and plum fruit flavors. The sandalwood edge extends through the stylish finish. Drink now. 687 cases imported." -JM, 12/31/18

"The NV Quinta da Ervamoira RP 10 Year Old Tawny Port is a typical field blend aged in vats. It was bottled in February 2018 with 114 grams of residual sugar and a bar-top cork. This is pretty much on par with the last release I saw (the 2015 bottling). Lush, complex and concentrated (relative to a 10 Year Tawny), this focused tawny performs beautifully. The finish is bright, spicy and sweet. The pricing may be better on the "street," as this is just a list price ("suggested retail"), but this is a 10 Year Tawny that delivers." -MS, 2/28/19
