Penelope Toasted Rye undergoes a unique finishing process to enhance its flavor profile. After aging for six years in charred new American oak barrels, it is finished in freshly toasted barrels, adding additional complexity and depth.
The Rye has a balanced blend of spicy rye flavors, including cinnamon and white pepper, balanced by sweetness like butterscotch and toffee. Hints of tobacco and charred oak add depth and complexity. A warm and long finish that have notes of caramel, butterscotch, and pear, leaving a lasting impression of rye spice.
