"A typical kettle sour beer drinks around 5% ABV with moderate acidity from up to a day's worth of souring. For this release however, we decided to go big, with 9% ABV and twice the time dedicated to souring the beer. The stronger ABV and longer souring time makes for a huge Imperial Sour. We dosed the base beer with tons of blueberry juice, a touch of hibiscus, and a generous amount of vanilla to balance out the acidity and lend a mild tannic backbone to such a large sour beer."
