Our 3rd barrel from Maker's Mark Private Selection-Trilogy Stave Select-uses 3 Roasted French Mendiant staves (a traditional French confection of a chocolate disk topped with nuts and dried fruits), and 7 Toasted French Spice staves. The Roasted French Mendiant stave replaced the former Mocha stave for a more nuanced and creamy finish that gives rich flavors of milk chocolate, buttery nuts, dried dark fruit, and deep coffee to the bourbon.
