Product Overview
Winemaker Notes:
"As always, The Dodd is led by Tannat, however, there is a very clear thread of Bordeaux here brought by the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Petit Verdot. Dark as night in the glass, robust and deep with dark fruits of boysenberries, blackberries and some liquorice root. The wine possesses the firm tannic structure that we have come to expect from this wine. Hints of Chaparral and tobacco all neatly knit together with sweet toasty oak." -Neil Collins

94 Points - Vinous
"Bright purple. Intensely perfumed aromas of ripe black and blue fruits and potpourri take on a smoky mineral nuance and a hint of incense with air. Deeply concentrated blueberry, mulberry, spicecake and violet pastille flavors are joined by suggestions of candied licorice and white pepper on the back half. Finishes on an alluringly sweet dark fruit liqueur note, with youthfully gripping tannins and outstanding vivacity and definition." -JR, Feb/2020
