Product Overview
Winery' Notes
"Vinification: Its fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, where the grapes macerate and are churned with their skins on, at temperatures between 16-18ºC, to produce a white wine full of colour and structure, able to sustain prolonged ageing in oak. The fermentation is halted by adding grape brandy, creating the fortified wine. A wine of high quality, made by blending wines of different harvests to achieve the array of sensory qualities that are typical of these aged white wines. The wines mature in oak casks for variable periods of time, with the average age of all the wines in the blend defining the age on the label. The resulting blend expresses the characteristics given by the ageing in wood.
Tasting Notes: An appealing gold colour. Elegant and complex, with aromas of spice, prevailing notes of dried fruit and elegant hints of wood. Smooth and round on the palate, it shows complexity amidst intense flavours of dried fruit. An excellent finish."
Varietal Composition: "Traditional Douro grape varieties"

"Creamy and lush-tasting, with a complex and concentrated mix of butterscotch, salted almond and quince flavors. Dried apricot, honey and spice details linger on the rich finish. Drink now. 200 cases imported." -KM 8/31/16

"Like their more familiar aged tawny counterparts, aged white Ports take on color as they age. This 10-year-old is pale gold in the glass. While its fruitiness remains, it's beginning to show more woody, spicy character. Like all aged Ports, it's ready to drink now." -RV, 5/1/17

"The NV 10 Year Old White Port is a Douro field blend of typical white grapes bottled in 2016 with a bar top cork and 118 grams per liter of residual sugar. Tight and tense, this is a focused white with a dry-ish finish, but nothing close to austere. It is the good acidity that keeps this in balance, preventing the sugar from making it too cloying. That ultimately gives this just a little distinction to go with its sweet edge. As I let it sit on the tongue, I began to like it more and more. It is very pretty for a 10, although of course it does not have the same concentration as older ones." -MS, 10/28/16
