Winery's Notes
"We have just six rows of Mourvèdre in the Kaleidos Estate Vineyard, making it one of our rarest offerings. The 2022 vintage delivered exceptional quality fruit, and for the first time, the yield from this small block was enough to ferment on its own—producing nearly a full barrel. To keep it perfectly topped, we added just three gallons of our Estate Syrah, enhancing its depth and complexity. This extremely limited wine is one of my personal favorites from the 2022 vintage, capturing the essence of our vineyard in every sip. Aged for 23 months, this Mourvèdre delivers classic varietal notes of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, complemented by earthy nuances of leather, tobacco, dried herbs, and subtle pepper spice. The wine’s velvety tannins and bright acidity provide a long, balanced finish, showcasing the full potential of the Willow Creek District terroir."

"Fresh violet and intense acai aromas make for an attention-grabbing nose on this estate bottling. The palate is dry in texture but loaded with blueberry compote and violet-spiked gelato flavors." -MK, 9/1/25

"The 2022 Mourvèdre lifts up with a spicy mix of crushed black cherries and balsam herbs. Ripe red berry fruits and crisp mineral tones splash across the palate, all lifted by cooling acidity. It is gently tannic and long, leaving perfumed inner florals and a hint of licorice that lingers." -EG, Jun/2025
