Winemaker's Notes
"This wine is dark and brooding, a wine of elegance, fine and structured tannins, and basically the wine-equivalent of a Wagner piece on a stormy night after unexpectedly making an enormous sum of money. In other words, it is fucking pure magic with rock bloody solid complexity on a very high level.
There was no 2020 vintage due to the apocalyptic fires and so the 2021 has been a long time coming. An extremely small crop, dryness and zero heat spikes combined with super small, concentrated berries and a super long ripening season resulted in the vintage being hailed as one of the TRULY great ones.
Sourced from small, family vineyards, (in some cases for 3-4 generations) that are farmed with great care and attention. These vineyards (some are 80+ years old) have been brought together, actually woven together, so the magical fruit could at last become Fortunate Son.
The Dreamer can be enjoyed when you are looking for inspiration and it can be enjoyed in times of stress, like when you’re asked to attend a birthday party for your sister’s 3-year-old (your nephew who looks like a small Shar-pei dog as he is overfed) and her friends other 20 screaming menaces. I suggest at least a bottle before departure, one during, and another upon arriving home from the gates of hell."
