Winery's Notes
"Faust Cabernet Sauvignon—a blend crafted primarily from our distinctive Coombsville vineyard estate complemented by fruit from other select vineyards, sets the bar each year for bold, elegantly balanced Napa Valley Cabernet. In 2022, warm temperatures leading into harvest revealed the distinct advantage of sourcing from cooler sites, especially our own cornerstone Faust Estate Vineyard, where we were able to lower ambient temperatures and raise humidity levels by deploying the sprinkler system to help mitigate heat events. Consequently, the fruit retained vibrant acidity underlying lovely intensity, creating a wine with pinpoint balance."
Winemaker's Notes
"Violets and toasted baking spice open on the nose of our 2022 Faust Napa Valley, with savory layers of slate and cedar joining in the background. Concentrated, perfectly ripe black cherry is spiced with the wine's signature star anise and framed by fine, chalky tanning that unfold into richness on the palate. Mouthwatering freshness sustains the dance of fruit and minerality through a lingering finish."
