Product Overview
Eponymous’ 2011 MacAllister Vineyard Red opens with a mature, inviting aromatic profile of dried raspberry, red currant, and softened blackberry, layered with cedar, and worn leather. On the palate, the wine shows the elegance of thirteen-plus years of aging: the once-firm tannins have melted into a supple, silky texture, allowing the blend’s red-fruit core to shine with quiet confidence. Subtle tertiary notes—tobacco leaf, rose petals, and a hint of cocoa dust—add depth without overwhelming the wine’s remaining freshness. Acidity stays bright enough to keep the wine lifted, giving it a graceful finish marked by warm spice and gently resolved fruit.
