Product Overview
95 Points - Vinous
"The 2018 Suduiraut is intense on the nose, featuring well-defined pure wild honey mixed with white flowers, quince and quite a strong petrol-like/Germanic note. The palate is very well balanced with a harmonious entry, well-judged acidity and great tension thanks to a bitter orange peel note that counterbalances the rich, honeyed fruit on the finish. Superb." -NM, Jan/2021
95 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"Densely textured and with intense botrytis dryness, this wine is rich and concentrated. Marmalade and honey shine along with sweetened apricots. The wine also has a fresher edge, reflecting the lightness of the vintage in Sauternes. This allows room for acidity and therefore balance. Still young, the wine has a fine future. Drink from 2026." -RV, 5/1/21
(93-95) Points - Wine Advocate
"The pale to medium lemon-gold colored 2018 Suduiraut comes bounding out of the glass with exuberant notes of candied peel, warm pineapple, guava and key lime pie with hints of orange marmalade and beeswax. The palate is packed with power and richness, with mouth-coating tropical fruits and a long earth-laced finish." -LPB, 4/30/19
92 Points - Wine Spectator
"Unctuous, full-throttle style with lots of apricot, glazed peach and marzipan notes rolled together, backed by brioche and toasted almond on the rich finish. Has the energy to pull it off in this vintage. Well done. Best from 2022 through 2032. 1,550 cases made." -JM, 3/31/21
