"This wine has density and some firm tannins. A spectacular vineyard that faces the Gironde estuary, this estate gives a rich wine that needs some serious aging. Drink this wine, with its black-currant fruits and solid tannins from 2027." -RV, 5/1/24

"The 2021 Meyney, which has been on a strong run of form of late, has a lovely bouquet with vivid red berry fruit, crushed stone and orange rind scents that are focused and lively. The palate is medium-bodied with a structured opening (as you would expect), more fruit concentration than its peers and a truffle-tinged finish. This will cruise nicely over the next 15 to 20 years." -NM, Nov/2023

"Shows a cedary grain that runs underneath gently steeped plum and black cherry notes, while warm earth and tobacco leaf elements run along the edges. Reveals a tangy, sanguine edge on the finish that exposes the vintage's telltale trim side, but this is pretty solid for fans of the old-school style. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2025 through 2032. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 14,377 cases made, 550 cases imported." -JM, 12/18/23

"The 2021 Meyney offers up notes of dark berries, dried fruits, undergrowth and toasty oak, followed by a medium-bodied, taut and somewhat astringent palate." -WK, 2/8/24
