Product Overview
Winery's Notes:
"“La Rollande”: A tribute to the wine’s feminine harmony. This first name, at the height of its popularity in 1931, the year when Maison Brotte was founded, means glory and courage. This wine is remarkable for its freshness and harmony. “La Rollande” boasts a violet hue and aromas of blackcurrants and violets, as well as slightly woody and spicy notes of white pepper and liquorice. This is a captivating wine with a harmonious and refined palate and lovely aromas of cherries and black fruit.
We select our cuvée from several wineries in the AOC, which have been working in partnership with Maison Brotte for many years.
Appearance – Dark ruby hue with purplish tints.
Nose –Intense. In its early youth, the nose is fresh with red fruit, camphor and violet aromas. After two years of ageing, black fruit dominates the first nose, which then goes on to develop black pepper, roasted and smoky notes and liquorice aromas.
Palate – When young, the wine is fresh with a nice structure and hints of redcurrants and raspberries. With age, the palate becomes rounder and fatter with a long finish."
