"The 2021 Belondrade y Lurton is showing superb, pure, crystalline, clean, pure and expressive, delicate, elegant and subtle. The oak feels perfectly integrated despite being a very young wine. It has notes of white flowers, orange peel, hints of peach and dry hay and is quite varietal, with a faint bitter twist on the finish that, to me, is a textbook descriptor of the Verdejos from yesteryear. It has 13.8% alcohol and a pH of 3.8. 102,023 bottles, 2,533 magnums and some larger formats produced. It was bottled in July 2022." -LG, 1/31/23

"The 2021 Belondrade y Lurton, primarily Verdejo with a pinch of Viognier, hails from the DO Rueda. With a golden hue, aromas of lemon zest, asparagus and peaches unfold against a backdrop of toasted bread and flora. Creamy, ample and velvety on the palate, the well-calibrated acidity unleashes a flavorful finish. This nuanced Verdejo is nicely supported by oak aging." -JH, Dec/2023

"Fragrant and leesy on the nose, this is fine and silky on the palate. A bold and expressive array of creamed melon and peach fruit, chopped macadamia nut, spun honey and lemon curd notes are enlivened by pinpricks of fleur de sel and tangerine zest. The lingering finish shows accents of pickled ginger, vanilla, chamomile and beeswax. Drink now through 2031. 8,500 cases made, 300 cases imported." -WS, 7/31/24

"Bright golden yellow in color, this wine has a nose of pineapple and mango. It is full in the mouth and offers tropical-fruit flavors alongside notes of vanilla, orange blossom and a closing note of saline." -MD, 5/1/24
