Winery Notes
"Owned by The Dry Creek Rancheria Pomo Indian Tribe, Bellacana Vineyards is the first Native American-owned winery in the region. With over 138 acres of meticulously tended Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, we proudly stand as the largest tribally-owned grape growers in Sonoma County. Our connection to the land runs deep, with a rich history of ancestral ties to Sonoma County and a commitment to its preservation. The Pomo tribe has safeguarded this precious land for generations, and we continue to honor this legacy by prioritizing soil health and transitioning toward organic farming practices. Our sustainable approach ensures that each grape is imbued with the essence of our ancestral roots.
One of Alexander Valley's legendary Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyards sites, Block 21 has an integral role in making the backbone of some of Alexander Valley's finest producers. We cherry-pick the highest quality fruit from our 13-acre block 21 to produce genuinely stunning wines.
Rich aromas of black cherry, Mission fig, and dark chocolate mingle with clove and nutmeg. The palate is filled with flavors of blackberry and boysenberry that are enveloped in silky tannins, showing complexity beyond its years. Enticing vanilla bean and hazelnut flavors carry through a velvety richness that lingers on the finish. Pair with steaks, burgers, and meaty, hearty dishes."
