Product Overview
Winery's Notes:
"Racines is a collaboration by two classic houses from France, led by Etienne de Montille and Brian Sieve of Burgundy and Rodolphe Peters of Champagne. The team came together to join their individual experiences in hand-crafting wines of purity and transparency to create a range of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the cool climate of the Sta. Rita Hills in California. Our Grand Reserve cuvée is a sparkling Blanc de Blanc traditional method consisting of 100% Chardonnay. The 2019 vintage base also includes 25% reserve wines from the 2017 and 2018 harvests, and blends various terroirs from the Sta. Rita Hills.
This wine is sourced from Wenzlau Family Vineyard, Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, La Rinconada Vineyard and Bentrock Vineyard. The varying soil types of these three distinct sites lend to an elegant, expressive wine with great minerality and length."

"The NV Chardonnay Grande Reserve (Sparkling) is compelling, especially in the way it straddles the line between still and sparkling wine. Creamy and resonant in the glass, the Grande Reserve is laced with apricot, white flowers and chamomile. This is a superb showing for the entry-level wine in what will soon be a range of sparklers from Racines. This release is a blend of fruit from Wenzlau, Bentrock, La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict. Lot LGR19-2" -AG, Mar/2023
