Product Overview
Winemaker's Notes
"Classic red and black fruit flavors predominate in our 2010 Panek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Low tannins lend maple syrup and brown sugar qualities - a sweetness that is cut by the acidity which balances and properly delineates the wine, prolonging the finish."
Varietal Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (clones: 6,7, and 337)
Appellation: Napa Valley AVA
Aging: 20 months in French oak, 80% new
Winemaker: Thomas Rivers Brown

"The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Panek Vineyard boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as a delicious bouquet of blueberries, black raspberries, black currants, cedarwood and smoky barrique notes offered in a full-bodied, ripe, pure style. Textured and long with sweet tannins, it reveals significant structure, but it is largely concealed by the lavish fruit. It can be drunk now or cellared for 15 years. Thomas Brown is the consulting winemaker for these two impressive Cabernet Sauvignon debut releases." -RP, 10/30/2013
