Product Overview
Winery's Notes:
"Crafted from selected barrels of single-vineyard Chardonnays in key Sonoma Coast sub-AVAs, this blend captures the essence of foggy, cool nights, diverse microclimates, and soils. Hand-picked at night, the grapes undergo whole-cluster pressing, cold settling for 24 hours, and spontaneous/native fermentation in oak puncheon and barrel (25% new). After 100% malolactic fermentation, gentle lees stirring. Aged for 11 months, the blend is assembled, lightly filtered, and unfined. The pale straw-colored wine boasts a vibrant nose of lemon curd and jasmine, while the palate reveals a brilliant array of citrus, white peach, lime leaves, and stony minerality, complemented by fresh acidity and a subtle graham cracker crust hint from barrel aging."

"The 2021 Chardonnay Aries is gorgeous. Bright and floral, with terrific depth, the Aries is seriously impressive. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint, chalk and white pepper lend notable aromatic brilliance. Vineyard sites are Charles Heinz, Gaps Crown, Durrell and the Estate, which is pretty impressive at this level." -AG, Jan/2023
