Product Overview
The 2020 Cullen Wines Dancing In The Sun is essentially a Bordeaux-style white wine blend made principally with Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc from two of the estate's biodynamically farmed vineyards. Established in 1971 as a founding winery of the formal Margaret River wine region by Kevin and Diana Cullen, the wines have been produced by the founders' daughter, Vanya Cullen for more than 30 years. This intriguing wine begins with a lovely, perfumed bouquet filled with flowers, peaches, and a hint of musk. The palate is alive with citrus fruits, pomegranate, and just a touch of mint. It's a rich, soft, and supple wine with great balance.

"The 2020 Dancing in The Sun is made with fruit from the Cullen and Mangan Vineyards. Verdelho is a potent variety in this blend—even additions as small as 5%, or thereabouts, contribute two things: a distinct dry grass character to the nose and a firm/coarse line of phenolics through the back palate. It also assists in allowing the wine to age more slowly. Despite the warm, plush vintage, the wine is savory, however the texture does reflect the season. It is plump and viscose, with notes of green pineapple, yellow grapefruit, juniper, saltbush, snow pea and enoki mushroom. As with all the Cullen wines, fruit concentration is never in doubt." -EL, 7/7/22
